Summary:A healthy LaMichael James will most likely be a first round NFL draft pick if he has a great 2011 season, and enters the 2012 NFL draft.

LaMichael Jame's elbow dislocation in the Cal game this season reminds us how fragile a football player's career can be. Football players are always one play away from a serious injury that could end any hopes of being a first round draft pick and make millions of dollars in the NFL. James is a smallish, but tough and powerful running back with true NFL potential, first round potential. An serious injury in college could end any hopes of making the money that could secure him and his family financially for generations.

Although he is just 5 ft. 9 in. and weighs 195 lbs., he has recorded a very fast 4.38 40-yard sprint and has sprinted for the Ducks track team. He is Oregon's all-time leader in many statistics which include: All-purpose yards, single game rushing, single season rushing, single season scoring, single season touchdowns, single season rushing attempts, career rushing yards and consecutive 100-yard games etc.

The 2010 season established James as a top draft prospect. He was the school's first consensus All-American, 3rd in the Heisman balloting, winner of the Doak Walker Award and a finalist in the Walter Camp Player of the Year Award to name a few of his honors.

Will the promising LaMichael James finish the 2011 season with a bang, and risk an NFL career by returning for his senior year with the Ducks or enter the 2012 NFL draft?
